Retirement is the point where a person stops employment completely. A person may also semi-retire and keep some kind of retirement job, out of choice rather than necessity.

Why not in a country where respect for seniors to retire. I am a senior citizen living in Thailand. Someone always gives me a place in a crowded bus or subway. When I go to the bank, I am always escorted to the front of the official of a bank. People are always helping me. It's great in a country where older people with respect and consideration looked live.
The bottom line is that you can retire to Thailand and live a more relaxed,happier life with less money. The pensioner's paradise is real.
